Will you give me a new design for my blog?
Due to past jerkwads and jackholes, I am no longer designing by request unless for VERY special people and/or circumstances. If you think you are a very special person or have a special circumstance, feel free to email me at zootsdesignsATgmailDOTcom and we'll chat. HOWEVER, I will probably charge you because I am jaded and no longer do that for free on a request basis. There are also some designs no longer active that I am selling to the first person who asks for them. It will cost anywhere from $40-$60, depending on your platform and your needs. BUT - feel free to peruse the site for the free templates I have floating around. I add more constantly so check back often.

I don't know how to implement your free designs, will you do it for me?
I will do it for you, but I will also charge for that service. If you are using the basic Blogger set-up? Chances are I'll only charge $15 dollars. Pick the free blogger template you want and email me if you need this service.

Will you make me a specific cartoon/graphics/vector image for my blog?
I do NOT make my own vector images. I can do a little bit of manipulation, edit other vector images or photos, I can do great typesetting, and I can make a few decent backgrounds, but in general? I get most of my graphics (namely, the highly coveted "cartoon girls") from royalty free sites like Istock.

Can I tip you if I use one of your free designs?
Of course! I have no complaints about this. I love money as much as the next person. Here is my tip jar (so to speak). I also love homemade items, so my mailing address is also on the donate page. However, if you can't afford (or make) anything? Don't sweat it, if I expected payment? I'd charge.

Will my site look right on a Macintosh?
I have no idea. If you use a Mac, or if many of your readers use a mac, you may want to find someone else to do your design. As much as I would LOVE to buy an IBook, I don't have one, so I can NOT test what your site will look like on Mac Browsers (IE for Mac or Safari). If this is going to be a problem, PLEASE don't ask me to design for you because I can NOT troubleshoot what I can NOT see.

Can you design for insert blog platform here?
I will try to design for whatever platform you are using. Here are examples of the platforms I've designed for so far: Movable Type, Blogger (The easiest to design for), Wordpress, and Typepad (near impossible to design for unless YOU don't mind editing HTML for any future changes). I have various limitations on each platform, so make sure you talk to me about what you're using. Keep in mind - the more foreign the platform is to me, the longer it will take and more likely a chance I'll screw it up. There's your warning.

I want to set up my own blog, can you help me?
I can help you set up a new blog AWAY from Blogger and Typepad (eventhough I am fond of both of them). Make sure you check out So, you want to start a blog? first. If you are still interested in my help, I can only set it all up for you if you use Movable Type or Wordpress as your platform and Total Choice for your hosting account. I know how to set those platforms up on those hosts. Any other combination? I won't guarantee being able to help you. Every host is different - and I dont feel like learning them all. I love Total Choice.

Okay - you obviously suck - do you know someone who does NOT suck?
If you are looking for a design for Movable Type? I recommend Megan because that is the platform she runs. If you are looking for a theme for Wordpress? Go see Lilac Pixels because that is HER specialty. They both charge, but they are also very talented. And nice. Be nice to them or I'll beat you up.
